Intermix Residency POUSH
Manifesto Middle East is supporting the Visual Arts Commission of the Saudi Ministry of Culture in the creation and management of Intermix POUSH Residency.
Launched in 2022 at the initiative of the Saudi Commission for Visual Arts, the Intermix programme is extending beyond Saudi Arabia for the first time, to the heart of one of the major artistic scene in the world: Paris.
This three-month residency aims to support emerging Saudi artists and curatorss. They are invited to experiment, create and collaborate at POUSH, an artists' and exhibition space that brings together, within a 20,000 m² industrial campus, an emblematic selection of 270 established and emerging artists of more than 40 nationalities, reflecting the vitality of the artistic scene in France. Intermix POUSH Residency aims to support these residents in developing their practice and careers on an international scale, by activating and experimenting with new ideas, initiatives, formats and collaborations.
The residents have the opportunity to meet the POUSH ecosystem, take part in the venue's events and exhibitions, take part in conferences and debates, and benefit from the site's workshops and production tools. They also visit the most prestigious institutions in Greater Paris (museums, art centres, galleries, fairs, etc.) and met the people who make up the art world today, in France and internationally (curators, artists, directors of institutions, gallery owners, collectors, curators, etc.).
Intermix Residency POUSH 2025/2026
Building on the success of its three previous editions, the Intermix Residency POUSH returns for its fourth edition, further strengthening the partnership between the Visual Arts Commission of the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia, Manifesto Middle East, and POUSH.
Running from 5 December 2025 to 2 March 2026, this edition will bring together five Saudi visual artists and one curator for a three-month immersive residency in Paris and its surroundings. The inclusion of a curator reinforces the program’s interdisciplinary approach, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and the expansion of both artistic and curatorial perspectives.
With a strong focus on professional development and training, the residency provides participants with privileged access to Paris’s dynamic cultural landscape. Through workshops, mentoring sessions, studio visits, and meetings with curators, artists, and other art-world professionals, residents will have the opportunity to explore new creative territories, experiment with innovative techniques, and further develop their practice.
Edition after edition, Intermix POUSH continues to establish itself as a leading platform for creative exchange and cultural dialogue—a program that nurtures talent, builds bridges between France and Saudi Arabia, and contributes to shaping the future of contemporary art.
