Manifesto Expo has been the strategic consultant for the "Carte Blanche" project, bringing its expertise to this international venture travelling to ten countries in North Africa and Middle East.
The Al Safar Carte Blanche project aims to foster the emergence of a new generation of photographers and photo-based artists from the Arab world.
Manifesto Expo has negotiated partnerships with prestigious cultural institutions in Morocco (Le Cube - independent art room), Egypt (Darb 1718) and Lebanon to publish the calls for projects and exhibit the winning projects (2019).
The first laureate of the "Morocco Carte Blanche" grant is Abdessamad El Montassir from Morocco. The "Egypt Carte Blanche" has been awarded to Amina Kadous.
